Overview of Flights Over My Area

The Overflight Dashboard provides data about daily and monthly aircraft activity at a location selected by you. An accompanying section explains how overflights are defined.

You can enter your Eircode or address or select a location directly on the map. To change your location, use the Location Button in the top-right corner of the screen.

The display starts with the most recent full month, and you can select previous months using the drop-down menu. Data is updated monthly, typically becoming available in the middle of each month.

What the Dashboard shows:

• Total and average overflights per day: Tthe number of aircraft passing over your selected location each day of the month.
• Total and average overflights per hour: Hourly aircraft activity trends for the selected month.
• Aircraft at different altitudes: Aircraft above 7,000 feet are shown in light green, as they have negligible impact on overall noise levels (e.g. Lden).
• Aircraft type mix: The distribution of different aircraft operating in the area.

Click on any bar to view more detailed data for a specific day or hour. Click again on the bar or in the space above to return to the overall view.
